Chamonix

Lying at the foot of Mont Blanc, Chamonix is arguably the mountain sports capital of the world attracting both skiers/boarders and mountaineers in equal measure.

The skiing is split between 5 areas each offering a different skiing challenge from the world cup downhill piste at Les Houches, to the huge off-piste ski fields of the Grands Montets. There is skiing for everybody at all levels, and Ski Ambition can ensure you find the right terrain amongst this vast choice.

The highlight of the skiing is the Vallee Blanche, at 22km and a vertical descent of over 2,500m, the longest off-piste run in the world. It starts at 3,842m from the top of the Aiguille du Midi cable car and descends through stunning glaciers with Europe's highest mountains as a backdrop. The descent itself is within the capabilities of an intermediate skier. As a Mountain Guide and ski instructor, Seb is unique that he can use the Vallee Blanche as part of your training program.

Chamonix itself is a bustling town, a shopping mecca for outdoor and fashion clothing and offers many hotels and restaurants, from Michelin 2 star fine dining, to local specialties.
